Squire Sanders presents a series of webinars focussing on the key labour and employment issues in various countries throughout Europe, Asia Pacific and the United States.
On 21 February 2013 at 4.00 pm CET (10.00am EST, 3pm GMT), the featured country is France. Jean-Marc Sainsard and Pauline Pierce from Squire Sanders’ Paris office will focus on some of the important issues facing employers in France during 2013, particularly in relation to works councils and hiring employees. The discussion will feature:
- Employee Representatives: the different employee representative bodies that can operate within a company, the numbers of elected and designated representatives, their role and protected status.
- Hiring Employees in France: making job offers, recruitment questionnaires and background checks.
- Recent Reforms: tax reforms on severance packages and the new legislation on sexual harassment.
The main webinar presentation will last 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. It will be conducted in English.
