The firm has once again received a UK national accolade for its pensions advisory work.  On 23 May the firm’s 60-strong Pensions team was awarded “Pensions Law Firm 2012” in the Pension and Investment Provider Awards run by the Financial Times group.

The awards seek to recognise excellence among the providers of products and services to UK occupational pensions schemes.  The four key criteria used to adjudicate the awards are performance, innovation, service standards and competitive edge.  Judges noted Squire Sanders as stand-out winners, and praised the team’s exceptional service and its ground-breaking work in a number of areas of pensions law.

This award to the Squire Sanders Pensions practice follows two significant awards in 2011: “Global Pensions Law Firm of the Year” (an accolade it had previously won in 2003, 2004 and 2005) for the quality of products and services offered within the international corporate pension industry; and “European Pensions Law Team of the Year” in recognition of its high standards in serving the European pensions funds sector.
