Pensions
Is your business ready for compulsory auto-enrolment pensions changes?
Kirsty Bartlett, Pensions Partner and Morna Mackenzie, Associate will explain what this obligation means for Japanese employers and highlight some of the practical issues that can arise when putting new pension schemes in place or changing existing pension schemes and/or terms and conditions of employment.
Data Protection
Garfield Smith, Information Technology and Data Protection Partner, will examine some of the key differences between data protection law and regulation in Europe and personal information protection law and regulation in Japan insofar as it is relevant to Japanese employers. He will highlight some of the practical issues that European data protection law presents Japanese employers including handling data subject access requests, monitoring employees and managing data breaches.
Mediation
Do you know how mediation can be used to unlock difficult HR situations and allow you to get on with managing your business quickly and cheaply?
David Whincup, Employment Partner and CEDR-qualified mediator and Sayaka Kasahara, Associate will explain what mediation is (and is not), how the mediation process works and what results you can expect to achieve. David and Sayaka will outline the particular benefits of mediation for Japanese businesses, your delegate staff and your local employees and will explain the role of managers in the mediation process.
The presentation will be followed by a drinks reception with a chance to network with friends and contacts, and to meet the Squire Sanders team.
